Can we be assured of Protection Divine?

Why not ?

Hath He not declared that His devotee will never perish ( na ma bhakta pransyathi ) and by giving up thyself wholly to Me, thou shalt overcome all difficulties by My Grace, mat chitta sarva durgani mat prasadath tharishyasi !

Didnt He say that Yoga is the Art of Conscious Self Finding ?

Saith He !

The Lord of all creatures, Albeit I Be,
By Maya. by My Magic, which on creatures, I stamp,
I come and go and Come ! When Righteousness,
Declines , O Bharata !

When wickedness is strong, I rise from Age and Age,
Succouring the Good, thrusting Evil back,
And letting Virtue sit on her seat again !
Dharma samsthapanarthaya Sambhavi Yuge Yuge !
