Solar Declination Angle

For Soorya Kranti for any day is given by the formula

= SIn -( 23.45)* cos( 365/360) *d+10

in Western Astronomy.

It is Sin J – Sin L sin w

in the Eastern.

This is a more complicated formula and goes by d,the no of days elapsed, after 01 01.

Code for Angle of Solar Declination

The formula is

Sin J = Sin L Sin w

Since w is constant, sin w is also constant, viz.

Sanskrit term for Declination is Kranti and the RIshies called the Eclptic Kranti Vritta, implying the Obliquity of the Ecliptic. Maximum Declination is Parama Kranti.

So the formula for computing Declination is

Angle of Solar Declination = Sin ( Sayana Ravi Madhyamam ) * Sin w
