YOGIC Alchemy = Divine Transmutation of Man
Q-What is Transmutation ?
Conversion of one element into another.
For example, a thermo nuclear fusion reaction is happening in the Sun
H + H = He
in which 2 atoms of Hydrogen combine to form Helium with a tremendous release of energy.
So one element can be converted into another.
Alchemy is the Science of transmuting baser metals into gold !
Divine Transmutation is the Ultimate Formula !
Fusion is the principle of Hydrogen Bomb, where Fission is the principle of the Atomic Bomb.

Alchemy was thought to be impractical, as nobody had ever transmuted baser metals into gold. Paracelsus, the Guru of Goethe, was an alchemist. SO was Nicholas Flammel, who wrote about the Serpent of India ( Kundalini ).
Baser metals represent our base, animal. Gold implies the true Gold in us , the Self, the Atman.
