The Legend of Skanda Mata
Skanda is Lord Karthikeya, who derives His Name from Karthika or Pleiades constellation. The Seven Sisters were His mothers. But Parvathy took Him as Her own Son. Hence the Divine Mother is known as Skanda Mata.
