ആദിയില്‍ മത്സ്യമായി ദേവന്‍ അവതരിച്ചു വേദങ്ങള്‍ വീണ്ടെടുത്തു
 
In the Beginning, Thou incarnated as Fish Divine,
To redeem the Vedas, to revive its lost meaning.
 
ആഴിയില്‍ താണുപോയ മന്ധരപര്‍വ്വതത്തെ ആമയായ് ചെന്നുയര്‍ത്തി വന്നു
 
In order to uplift Mountain Mandara
Thou became the Sacred  Tortoise.
 
വരാഹമായ് ആ ഹിരണ്യാക്ഷനെ കൊന്നു വിശ്വത്തെ രക്ഷിച്ചു
 
Thou donned the garb of the Boar,
Saving the Universe from demon, Hiranyaksha.
 
ദേവന്‍ ഭക്തനാം പ്രഹ്ളാദനെതുണചെയ്യുവാന്‍ ഉഗ്രനരസിംഹമൂര്‍ത്തിയായി
 
In order to protect thy devotee, Prahlada,
Thou became the fiery, Man-Lion, Nrusimha.
 
മൂവ്വുലകും മൂന്നടിയായ് അളന്നൊരു വാമനനായങ്ങവതരിച്ചു
 
Thou became the Dwarf divine,Vamana,
And measured the worlds triune.
 
 വിശ്വം ജയിക്കും പരശു ധരിച്ചൊരു ക്ഷത്രിയ വൈരിയാം രാമനായി

Thou became Lord Parasurama,
To destroy the evil Kshatriyas
 
മര്‍ത്ത്യജന്മത്തിന്‍റെ ദുഃഖങ്ങളാകവേ മുത്തിക്കുടിച്ച വൈദേഹീരമണനായി
 
Thou became the Exemplar, Lord Rama,
And showed that Duty is divine
And took on all sorrows worldly
Protecting the Motherland
Proving that Mother & Motherland
Are greater than Heavens & Earths!

കന്നിനിലങ്ങള്‍ക്കു രോമാഞ്ചമേകിയ പൊന്നിന്‍ കലപ്പയേന്തും ബലരാമനായി
 
Thou became Lord Balarama, with the Plough.
 
ഒരഷ്ടമീരോഹിണി നാള്‍ ഒരു കാരാഗൃഹം തന്നില്‍ ഒരു ദിവ്യശിശുവായി നീയവതരിച്ചു
 
On the Eighth Lunation, Ashtami,
When Moon tenanted Rohini,
Thou incincarnated as a  Divine Child,
In a jail of that tyrant, King Kamsa !
 
മയില്‍പ്പീലിമുടിചൂടി മണിമുരളികയൂതി മധുരയില്‍ മുകില്‍വര്‍ണ്ണന്‍ ആവതരിച്ചു തളയും വളയും കിലുങ്ങിയാടി
 
Adorned with peacock feathers.
Playing the Flute, in Madhura,
Dancing on the Seven Hoods of Kaliya,
Symbolic of the Seven Deadly Sins.
 
തളിരടി താണ്ഢവ നൃത്തമാടി  കാളിന്ദിയാറ്റില്‍ വിഷംകലര്‍ത്തീടിന കാളിയ ദര്‍പ്പം അടക്കിയാടി കണ്ണന്‍ കാളിയ ദര്‍പ്പം അടക്കിയാടി കൊടിയൊരു പാമ്പിന്‍റെ പത്തിതാഴിത്തി അതിന്മേല്‍ ആനന്ദ നൃത്തം ആടി
 
In this Incarnation as a Philosopher – King, Raja Rishi,
Thou blended Governance with Wisdom.
Initiated into the mysteries of Yoga by Sandeepini,
Thou proved that Thou art the ace amidst Raja – Rishies!
 
From Thy Flute Divine Music emanated,
Hearing which many felt Bliss Celestial,
Thou played the Rasa Lila,
Empowering everyone with Bliss !
At the end of this Equinoctial Cycle,
As Lord Kalki Thou wilt come !
